David Nightingale Workshop: Shoot the City (1½-day)
Shoot the City is a one and a half day hands-on workshop, designed to teach you the technical and creative skills you need in order to create technically excellent and aesthetically stunning images of Porto.
On Day 1, we will all meet at the first location early in the morning to shoot sunrise and will start with a short briefing session, a discussion covering both the technical and aesthetic skills you'll need for this workshop.
We will then move to our second location, where we'll be concentrating on how to create unique and compelling images.
At the third and final location, we'll shoot the sunset, twilight, and the beginning of night, and will concentrate on how to make the most of the available light and how to create images combining both ambient and artificial light.
Please note that all locations are subject to final confirmation. Since you will be visiting 3 different locations please be prepared to spend a considerable amount of time walking. Because we aim to shoot sunrise and sunset, we will take a break for a few hours in between shoots.
For the final 1/2 day session you will learn a range of post-production techniques that will enable you to maximise the impact of each image, and post-produce a series of images.
