Summer Yoga Sessions at The Block Lisboa!
The afternoon classes include an afternoon snack, and the morning classes include breakfast.
Zoe the Yoga Instructor will guide you through a 60min practice of postures, breathwork, and meditation.
About the Yoga:
Hatha yoga is designed to activate the physical body, creating strong stable muscle support to the skeletal structure. During this time endorphins are released into the body, which is a natural pain relief, this in itself can combat stress and elevate the mood. Once this state is achieved we begin to stretch muscle fibers and fascia tissue to help with the mobility of the body. Ending in a meditation posture called savasana, it is known for triggering the parasympathetic nervous system bringing the body and mind to a deep state of rest. Here you may experience a euphoric feeling, known in Sanskrit as Samādhi. Expect yogic philosophy discussion at the start of practice to set the scene of contemplation throughout the time on the mat.
This practice will be modified for beginners to advanced practitioners.
About the Instructor:
Zoe our Yoga Teacher is originally from Tasmania, Australia. After spending 13years in Banking and Finance she moved to Lisbon in 2015 to dedicate her days to sharing yoga. Here she found a wonderful spot near Rossio Square to teach daily yoga classes to small groups of practitioners. Zoe has studied formal training with teachers from Australia, Nepal, India, Poland, Germany, the USA, and Canada, giving a balance to the Eastern and Western ideology of yoga.
Zoe is looking forward to sharing yoga on the open-air terrace at The Block.
